Refund Policy

It is our desire to be completely upfront with how our services work, so neither buyers or sellers have any surprises. Here is our policy on refunds:

Earnest Money (deposits) Refunds

Earnest Money by definition is money sent to confirm that a party is indeed serious about completing a contract. You should not send money to initiate a contract if you are not sure you want to complete the contract (purchase). If you simply decide you no longer want to follow through with the completion of the contract, through no fault of the seller or product, then the Earnest money is nonrefundable. However there are cases in which the Earnest money is refundable, as follows:

1. Seller does not deliver product.

If the seller does not follow the terms of the contract and delivery of the product in the agreed manner and timeframe, then you are entitled to a full refund, including escrow fees charged. We may request documentation to show this is the case.

2. Seller cancels contract.

If the seller decides to cancel the contract, then you are entitled to a full refund including escrow fees.

3. Product is misrepresented

In the event the contract cannot be completed, because product has been misrepresented, it can be returned to the seller in the specified contract time frame for a full refund.

Refunds for full balance payments

The purpose of Consumer Safety Group is to ensure safe transactions between buyers and sellers. This includes the ability to receive refunds in the event where the transaction fails to meet the sales agreement. Refunds will be given for the following reasons:

3. Product is misrepresented.

In the event the contract cannot be completed, because product has been misrepresented, it can be returned to the seller in the specified contract time frame for a full refund.

Additional Notes: Consumer Safety Group will only issue refunds for funds sent to Consumer Safety Group for escrow. If you send payment directly to the seller, Consumer Safety Group has no control over those funds and cannot provide any guarantees how those funds will be handled. In the event Earnest money is sent through our system, but the balance of the contract price is paid directly to the seller, Consumer Safety Group can only provide protection for the Earnest money portion of the sale contract. Under no circumstances shall Consumer Safety Group be held liable for refund of funds not sent to Consumer Safety Group for escrow.

If you return a product, cancel a contract, or are in any way not satisfied with a transaction, please retain all documentation pertaining to the sales contract, including any inspections done by a professional to reach this conclusion.
